JEE Main and JEE Advanced: where to find official information
JEE Main and JEE Advanced are run by different bodies and have separate official websites. Here's where to look.
Indus Education
JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE Advanced, the exam for admission to the IITs, has its own official website. Candidates must qualify through JEE Main to be eligible for JEE Advanced; the exact criteria are set out in the JEE Advanced information brochure.
Official websites:
- JEE Main: jeemain.nta.nic.in
- JEE Advanced: jeeadv.ac.in
What to read first
- The JEE Main information bulletin for your exam year: eligibility, the syllabus, the exam pattern and dates.
- The JEE Advanced information brochure: eligibility, the number of attempts allowed and the exam schedule.
A word of caution
Dates, patterns and rules can change from one year to the next, so always check the current year's official document rather than older guides or social media posts.
